Sonified Supernovae

Search for a supernova and listen to a representation of its lightcurve as a WAV. Data for the magnitude of the B band over time is pulled from The Open Supernova Catalog, a spline is fitted to the data, and the intensity is interpreted as frequency. The sound files are normalized so that they are 5 seconds long, the dimmest (largest) magnitude corresponds to 500Hz, and the brightest (lowest) magnitude corresponds to 1000Hz. Give it a couple seconds after submitting to generate the sound file.

ex. SN2013ej, SN2014J, or sn2007bi
